In this project I collaborated with the pottery artist, Blanka Gómez de Segura. We began with the commission of 96 pieces of ceramics by Ulises Mejía for his restaurant, Ansoleaga33. The collection takes its inspiration from natural and floral designs, seeking the simplicity of lines. This was my first experience with ceramics and I deliberately wanted to keep the same freshness of the brushstrokes that comes from a paintbrush. The innocence of imperfection that, in every technique, you only have at the beginning, and which connects us with purity. The set of 96 pieces constitutes a work of intense colour; an ancestral and vitalist painting. The collection as a whole forms an image which brings back basic lines from childhood, whilst also presenting elements taken from the collection “Maga.”
